Toasty, Creamy Matcha
"This vibrant green matcha powder is superbly smooth and the fine grind makes a thick, full-bodied, creamy brew. On the nose, it reminded the judges of hojicha with toasty notes of roasted tea leaves. The toasted tea leaf flavour is evident on the palate, with a slight bitterness and savouriness that builds up. The creamy texture of the tea gives a good mouthfeel which contributes to the long finish. Paired with milk, the top notes are immediately muted, which is shame as the roasted leaf flavour gave complexity to the matcha.”
