The star of the show at this long-established Nihonbashi rice cracker shop (over 333 years!), Yamamoto-yama, is their laver-wrapped crackers. The glossy, dark green laver is soft and melts in your mouth, releasing the umami flavor of the laver and a refreshing "Isono kaori" (磯の香り is a Japanese word that refers to the smell of the ocean) The crackers are baked thin, making them easy to eat for people of all ages. Each crackers is hand-wrapped.

| Yamamoto-yama (山本山) was founded in 1690 in Nihonbashi,Edo (Tokyo). The founder, Kahei Yamamoto, originally made tea in Uji, Kyoto. He came to Tokyo with the desire to "Let as many people as possible taste the delicious tea of Uji," and opened a tea shop in Nihonbashi, which was the beginning of Yamamoto-yama.
